My Journey

I was born and raised in Pedaparimi, a small village in Andhra Pradesh. Life there was simple, but it gave me roots that have stayed with me. Like many from similar backgrounds, I grew up seeing both the beauty and the limitations of rural life. And I always felt that one day, I could give back to the place I came from.

In the early 2000s, I moved to Australia – a new land, a new language, and a completely new way of life. I started at the bottom. My first job was in a petrol station. It wasn’t easy, but it taught me a lot: discipline, humility, and the ability to keep going even when things didn’t look promising.

Over time, I moved up. I learned the ins and outs of the business. I saved up. And step by step, I started building what would eventually become the Srini Group. It began with a single operation in fuel retail and slowly grew into a broader business with multiple locations and a full team. Today, I have the privilege of working with hundreds of people across Australia. Each milestone came not from shortcuts, but from years of consistency and quiet effort.

As things grew in Australia, my heart never left Pedaparimi. In 2015, I set up the Sri Muvva Foundation, in memory of my late mother, with one goal: to make life in our village just a little better than how we found it.

We started by setting up a clean drinking water plant, which now serves over 10,000 people every single day. Then came sanitation projects, where we worked towards ensuring every home had access to proper toilets. We’ve supported students with scholarships, helped build a space for elders in the village, and taken up small but meaningful efforts one step at a time.

None of this was part of a big plan – it just grew out of what felt right to do, one project after another. I’ve never looked at these efforts as charity. To me, they are just extensions of responsibility.

This is a simple reflection of the journey so far – both personal and professional. There’s still a long way to go, and I’m grateful for the people who’ve been part of this path, both in Australia and back home in India.
